Twitter Support needs a better way of dealing with compromised accounts. 

Their steps on verifying a account:

1.Having The email address on your twitter account.

2.Having a mobile device connected to your account so you can still tweet, if compromised.

When you file a support ticket claiming to be compromised, you won’t necessarily know the actual email or handler used on file. Usually they have probably changed it or you just don’t have access to the one that you had on file anymore.

1.They can change your handler name without needing access to your email.

2.They can just update the email to one of theirs.

3.If They have access to your email, they can easily secure it so you cant get it back.

4.They can easily remove your mobile device and any apps you have set on your twitter.

5.They can do all the above and then deactivate the twitter account.

6. When you file a support ticket claiming to be compromise you wont know the email or handler on file because they have probably change it or you just don’t have access to the one that you had on file anymore.

7. They removed Your mobile device so you don’t have access to tweet from your phone.

A Few Ways to fix these problems:

1.Have security question answers set up, so if someone resets your email then sends a password reset for your twitter account, they have to answer the security questions on file before resetting the password.

2.Have to have at least a password 10 characters long including at least 1 number and/or Symbol.

3.Don’t put real billing info for your email.

4.Don’t advertise your website or put your location on your twitter profile.

5.Don’t have your email public.

I know having a account compromised can be frustrating for most people.

Differences Between Cracking and Hacking

The Difference Between cracking and Hacking

As many as you Know there has been alot of twitter handlers that have been either cracked or hacked. Cracking is very easy doesnt involve any social skills at all. It requires a list of handlers to try and a common password list of simple passwords that you might use and it goes through all the usernames and pass combos until it finds the right password to any of the handlers. You dont have to be worried of getting your password cracked as long as it Complex with a mix of letters,numbers, and symbols.  

Hacking via Social Engineering is the way most clever way of getting into peoples emails, domains, accounts etc.  The Dox is normally what you need to reset any email associated with what you want to get into. Mostly any isp (internet Service Provider) Requires your billing info and either last 4 of SSN or CC on file. Sometimes its as simple as your last bill or your account number. The hardest emails to get into are the one where you can only reset by Secret Question Answer, Unless you know how to Bypass them, which isnt that hard depending on what company you are dealing with. 

Hacking Via infection

Have you ever saw a link where it says for free stuff or it says Someone has been talking crap about you look here(link).   Well Not Many but Few click on these types of links. Not becuase they are dumb, but they are wondering what it is for. I cant really say much about this just dont click on random links. View through your internet Safety first to see if any problems come up.
